Clients About Us

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Mueller,

We would like to thank you very much for organising our tour of Myanmar

We were impressed with your organisation and selection of guides, drivers and hotels.

We had a fantastic trip and enjoyed seeing and finding out information about the history and culture of your country.
The guides were all very knowledgable, helpful and friendly and ensured we had a great trip. We would especially like to mention our guides in Mandalay, Tei, and in Inle Lake, Moumou as they were exceptionally welcoming and easy to talk to.
The drivers were all very courteous and they were considerate drivers.

The tour covered all the points of interest we wanted to see in a manageable and enjoyable programme

We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and if we get the chance to visit again we will certainly contact your company. Also we will happily recommend your travel company to friends and family wanting to travel to Myanmar

Thank you
Greg and Joan Cradock

Hello,

We just wanted to say a big thank you for all the work you put into making our trip so memorable. We had a fantastic time, the country is beautiful and the people are charming.
We would particularly like to say what an excellent guide Mr Oo is in Bagan. He is very knowledgeable and took us to some magnificent places and he was fantastic with the children.

Many thanks once again. It was lovely to meet your 3 girls too.

Best regards

Penny, Nicolas, Louis, James and William.

Dear Shwe Yee and Klaus-Dieter,

"Lucky! Thats how we feel! Lucky that we found your travel agency (Shwe Yoo Travel & Tours). Normally we travel in Asia independently, however for our first trip to Myanmar we decided to use a travel agent. We booked "last minute" by e-mail and managed to transfer money to you without a problem. Our trip started after we had been in Yangon for 3 days. We took the train to Mandalay (sleeper car) and can say that this, despite being bumpy and not too clean, was one of our highlights of our journey! We spent one day in Mandalay by ourselves and the 2nd day we toured Amanapura/Sagiang/Awa with our guide Joe-Joe (Kyaw Kyaw Win). What a lovely man, excellent english and a great sense of humour! From Mandalay we travelled by boat to Bagan, arriving on New Years Eve. The boat ride with Malikla River Cruise was very comfortable. We had an wonderful room in the Thande Bagan Hotel - and the New Years Buffet was delicious! Again here we had one day alone and one day accompanied by U Kyaw Saw, who was able to give us a very in-depth insight into the history of the pagodas. We flew to Heho, and were met there by Htay (Than Zaw Htay), who was our guide for the next 3 days. Thay proved to be an excellent guide, with his knowledge of plants and farming, of the region and the people, with his humour, his gentle ways, a lovely laugh and his openess!!! The drive to Pindaya (recommended by yourselves) was another of our highlights! Fantastic scenery, we loved the bumpy roads and the country life, vistiing the 5-day market in Aung Ban, and of course the caves in Pindaya, with all the Buddha statues ….absolutly amazing!!! Taking time to mediatate there in one of the niches was a spiritual experience. The manager of the Pindaya Inle Inn was exceptionally kind and upgraded us to a deluxe room with fireplace …which we so enjoyed in the evening, as well as our hot water bottles in the bed (one recommendation, take a woolly hat with you)!! Here the staff were so kind and friendly! The next day we headed back to Heho and onto the Inle Lake. The views around the lake are amazing, with the hills, lake roses, the floating gardens, villages on stilts, and our visit on the 2nd day to Sangka (also with our Pa-O guide Ms. Nway Nway) far south was the other highlight and recommended! We loved visiting the village there, with the cheeky children and the rice-wine making!! Sad to leave, we flew back from Heho to Yangon, where we had one night at the very lovely Savoy Hotel. Our guide for our transfers in Yangon was Bonny-Oo, who had a great laugh and was so open & friendly! Thank you too for the organisation of our flight out of Myanmar, from Yangon-Dawei-Myeik- Kawthaung, transfer from the airport to Kawthaung pier and the border crossing into Thailand, as well as the taxi into Ranong! The ladies assisting us in Kawthaung were also very lovey! Many thanks also go to our drivers throughout the tour, who always had a smile, provided water & fresh wipes and were complete gentlemen in opening doors! We were delighted with the whole service provided and found it to be of excellent value!

Thank you again for everything and we hope to travel with you one day soon again! We shall certainly recommend you to our friends!"

Kind regards from Switzerland

Hello Shwe Yee & Klaus-Dieter Mueller,

We were all sorry not to have a chance of meeting you in Rangoon to say how much we had enjoyed our Tour
Everything went very smoothly thanks to your excellent guides who cannot be praised too highly.

Putao Guest House..although the rooms we ended up in were scruffy and very badly maintained, the beds were comfortable enough and the marvellous little watchman provided ample hot water for washing which was a big bonus!

The Village House was absolutely fine and we all enjoyed our stay there. Your guide Marcus is an absolutely splendid chap!

The food throughout our trip was very good indeed.

To sum up ...we had a really excellent tour and we would all highly recommend Shwe Yoo Travels and Tours to anyone who asks us about Myanmar.

With best wishes

Dear Shwe Yee & Klaus-Dieter:

This is to let you know that my son (Erik), his girlfriend (Audrey) and myself had a fantastic time in Myanmar. We could not have done it without your help and guidance. I have traveled the world for almost 30 years. This trip is by far one of the best I have done.

A special note about our guide, George. He was the best guide I have ever had in all my trips. I had private guides in many places including Africa, South America, Europe and the Middle East. George was the best of all of them. Young, friendly, on time, straight forward and met our needs at every point of the trip. He was just fantastic.

Looking back, I definitely made the right choice to use your company for this trip. I will be more than happy to recommend you to any person wishing to visit Myanmar and use your company.

Finally, stay strong and continued success in your business. You have a beautiful country. It can only get better and, hopefully soon. It is a gem for a tourist like me.

I am originally from Israel (left for the U.S. about 32 years ago). Thousands of Israelis travels to Thailand each year. I believe they will find Myanmar a great country to visit.

Sincerely,

Yaakov Borenstein

Dear Mrs. Shwe Yee, dear Mr. Mueller,

We have been travelling through Burma during the past 3 weeks on an individual tour organized by your travel agency.
This tour had been booked via Marco Polo Reisen in Germany.

Returned safely home just a few days ago, we don't want to miss giving you some personal feedback on our impressions.

First of all: it was an absolutely wonderful journey, and we enjoyed it so much !

Everything was organised perfectly, accommodation was excellent, all flights (with Air Bagan) were on time and even the weather was just perfect all the
time (the latter most likely beyond your influence ...).

In particular, we were absolutely satisfied with the tour guide travelling with us throughout the journey, Mr. Sai Htun Naing.
He was not only knowledgeable with regard to the places we visited, but did a great job to organise whatever was necessary.
Moreover - and we consider this to be quite important - he was a very pleasant company during this long trip, and his knowledge of the English language was excellent.

We shall certainly keep Myanmar in mind as one of the most beautiful countries we have ever seen.
Actually, it was our second journey to Burma, the first one being in 1985 already ...
This time, your travel agency has contributed to our satisfaction significantly.

Furthermore, we would like to thank you for the New Year greetings and present given to us on our departure day.

All the best for the two of you and your staff for 2008 !

With best regards,
Petra Soellner + Uwe Schildt

Myanmar from 28.11.07 - 06.12.07

Dear Shwe Yee and Klaus-Dieter,

Tania and I just returned home from an extraordinary Burma/Myanmar trip.
To anyone considering visiting Myanmar I would strongly recommend to go and make your own educated opinion. Burmese people are very friendly and welcome foreigners. We never felt at risk.
Traveling to Myanmar/Burma will help the Burmese on 3 critical fronts:
1) Help the local economy.
2) Inform the rest of the world about Myanmar and help find ways to improve the life of millions of people.
We would like to express our profound gratitude to you for having organized such a wonderful trip for us. We have been fortunate to travel around the world and our recent visit to your country will remain a high point among these voyages. Your ability to deliver an outstanding experience is impressive. I suppose it starts with your business philosophy to consider each client as an individual (not just a file number).
A great thank you as well to your fluent English speaking tour guide .Soe Yee travelled with us throughout the country and from morning to evening shared with us the history of Myanmar, the every day life of the Burmese.
As I am writing this letter so many images of our trip come to mind. I guess we would like to come and visit again and this time bring our children along. Maybe you could organize that children Elephant camp...
Thank you so much again for the wonderful dinner we had in Yangon , the lacquer box and for sharing some of your very interesting traveling life stories until this famous and mutual “ eye contact “…
We hope to see you sometime for another Burma Adventure.

Hello Shwe Yoo,

How lucky and glad we are that we did not give in to our travel hesitations following the events in September.
Our trip to Myanmar was everything we’d hoped it would be: intellectually stimulating, visually spectacular (we’re avid photographers), and delicious (so many great local meals and restaurants).
My wife and I thank you, Shwe Yoo, for creating an absolutely wonderful independent travel experience for us. As we’d explained when we first contacted you, we are not group travel people, greatly preferring the freedom and flexibility to pursue our interests and take advantage of unplanned activities that arise en route.
Our independent itinerary was impeccably well organized and managed. But for one small railroad challenge, quickly solved, all went precisely according to plan. The attentive guide you selected to accompany us throughout our visit (Yangon, Inle Lake, Mandalay, Bagan, Yangon) showed us the sights with great knowledge and, importantly, sensitivity to our interests and pace. We commend his willingness and ability to satisfy our needs and provide us with a feel of the real Myanmar.
Our only disappointment was that we did not spend more time in Myanmar. We look forward to a return visit and another opportunity to seek your outstanding services.

Dear Shwe Yee,

Thank you very much for your letter and for your perfect organization regarding our travel in Myanmar. Everything was nice! We all are really fond of your country and even I can say more: Myanmar has left the best memories for our family from all South East Asia's countries. Now I know that the view of sunset in Bagan and walking around Sweedagon will be always in our mind...By the way, now we are reading serious books about Budhism etc. with great pleasure and I understand how important was to include Mandalay in our tour. Thank you once again for all you have done for us.

Give the best regards to your husband and to our guide Yee Yee.

With hope to see you in the future,
Egle and Hugo

Dear Mr. Mueller,
I want to thank you for the beautiful lacquer boxes with the enclosed coasters and for making sure that our trip such a big success when we were in Myanmar. It was my best trip yet trip thanks to your excellent planning and attention to details, and because Ko Ko was such a terrific tour guide.
I am telling all of my friends about what a wonderful and interesting country Myanmar is. I would like to find you some new clients if possible. I might be interested in returning in the next year or two since I know that there are many more interesting things that I would like to see in Myanmar.
It was a pleasure meeting you and your wife during our tour. I hope that one day you will write a book about your travel through Africa and adventures elsewhere during the 3 years that you were on the road. I would like to read it if you do! Thank you again. Eduardo also sends you his thanks.

Dear Mr. Klaus Dieter,
I am safely back in Chile after a trip to Myanmar that exceeded all my expectations...!
Thank you so much for organizing everything in such a careful and delicate way, everything worked perfectly, everything that I saw was beautiful and is dear to me.
Thank you also for that delightful lunch with you and your very nice wife and daughters! I hope you made it to your plane! The conversation was so interesting!
Mr. Ko Ko Aye was a great guide, the perfect host to welcome me, make me feel safe and at home, it was so nice to be welcomed at the airport and find that everything was so well organized! Even the money I needed, every detail taken care of.
Then I have for a change a favour to ask you...!
My guide in Bagan who was also excellent, showed me Bagan in depth, unexpected not very visited places, almost on my own... the Pagodas and then the life... he draw in the map all the places we visited, as well he wrote a list of the places we visited but that stayed in the car or with him... I would love to have that map and that list, do you think you could get hold of that and maybe have him or yourself mail that to me...? I would be so thankful!
And then thank you so much for insisting to my guide in Mandalay to take me to that reclining Budha and to see the relics, it was so. so beautiful... it was one of the most impressive moments of my trip... and at the same time more intimate...
The guide in Mandalay was nice in many ways and sort of strange in others... she was the only one who insisted in taking me to supermarkets and malls while I wanted to go to local markets! But anyway, she showed me everything, even a little village off the road, and I loved Mandaly

And my guide in Inle lake, Mr. Sai Tay Zar was just outstanding, he was so, so nice, he showed me everything in such a delicate way, he made me know the very best of Inle Lake, with the view of someone who knows from the inside, who belongs there, and who loves his Shan State.
All the hotels were just beautiful! Specially in Yangon, Bagan and Inle Lake.
I have the dearest memories from Myanmar and its people...! Shwedangon Pagoda, Bagan, the Festival in Inle Lake... so many beautiful and extraordinary things!

Claudia G. E. Santiago, Chile.
