All-day bike tour to Indein (L)
starting from $95
You will be picked up at your hotel around 8:00 a.m. Upon arrival, you will travel with your guide by bike to the village of Khaung Dine (approx. one hour) on the north-west bank of Inle Lake. This Intha village is known for its production of soya cake and noodles. You will take a walk though the area and watch people as they work from home. You will then cycle on to Indein (approx. 3-hours) to view the historical Bagan and Shan-style pagodas which were built during the Bagan period. The pagoda ruins, hidden in bushes, officially date back to the 12th-13th century. In the late afternoon, you will travel by boat back to Nyaung Shwe through the beautiful landscape with tall grasses and small watering holes. You will stay overnight at the Paradise Hotel in Nyaung Shwe.
