Board the Irrawaddy Princess II and experience an unforgettable river cruise on the Ayeyarwady. You will be amazed by the treasures – hidden from the world for so long – that you’ll see from this river, which flows through the whole of Myanmar. You will explore Mingun, which is home to the largest intact bell in the world and the never-completed Mingun Pagoda. Visit the Sagaing hills, a place of refuge for devout Buddhists with its many pagodas, monasteries and convents. We’ll also make an intermediate stop at Yandabo, a village specialising in pottery. On the third day, you’ll reach Bagan, known as the ‘city of four million pagodas’ and one of the most important archaeological sites in Asia.

Day 01 (Sunday) MANDALAY – IRRAWADDY PRINCESS II (L, D)
Our driver will pick you up from your hotel at 07:30 A.M and transfer you to Mahar Thamudi Jetty in Sagaing (approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes). The Irrawaddy Princess II was built in 1998 for the shallow conditions of the Ayeyarwady. All 20 cabins are air-conditioned with private bath (hot & cold shower) and all standard facilities including mini bar. Facilities on board include a spacious dining room, a bar and a sun deck area. Welcome Cocktail in the Saloon. Depart from Mandalay and cruise upriver to Mingun. Visit Settawya Pagoda, with a footprint of the Buddha, walk to the huge Mingun Bell and see the nearby unfinished Mingun Pagoda, built to be the world’s biggest pagoda. After lunch cruise downstream to Sagaing (appr. 2 hours). Enjoy the natural beauty of the river and the life of its banks while relaxing on the sundeck or just sitting outside their own cabin. Upon arrival in Sagaing, visit the Sagaing Hills, a retreat for Buddhist devotees with numerous Pagodas, monasteries and nunneries. Moor Overnight at a sandbank mid-stream. After dinner guests can enjoy a Dance and Drama performance by the Mandalay Arts School on the sundeck (if available). Lunch, dinner and overnight on the Irrawaddy Princess II.
Day 02 (Monday) IRRAWADDY PRINCESS II (B, L, D)
Early morning cruise downstream to Yandabo, a village specialize in Pot-Making, where the peace treaty of the First Anglo-Burmese war was signed on Feb. 24, 1826. Cruise all day and moor overnight near a typical river village or a sandbank. Lunch, dinner and overnight on the Irrawaddy Princess II.
Day 03 (Tuesday) IRRAWADDY PRINCESS II - BAGAN (B)
Early in the morning we proceed downriver to Bagan. Arrival time in Bagan is at 09:00 A.M.

DEPOSIT:
To secure your reservation, a 30% deposit is required.
CANCELLATION TERMS:
The cancellation notice must be received in writing either by e-mail or fax. It will be effective on the date of receipt. Cancellation charges, per person, are based upon the date of cancellation:
Over 56 days before departure: 30% of cruise fare (the Deposit)
From 55-29 days prior to departure: 50% of cruise fare
From 28-15 days prior to departure: 80% of cruise fare
From 14 days to “no show”: 100% of cruise fare
FULL PAYMENT OR FINAL BALANCES:
Must be received via bank transfer within 31 days prior to departure. Payment failure may be treated as a cancellation and the cancellation charges apply.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
For all departures should the occupancy be less than 8 CABINS, the Company reserves the right to cancel the cruise up to 30 days prior the departure date. In case of cancellation an alternative cruise will be offered and if not acceptable all down payments will be refunded.
