2 Days Kyaikhtiyo

Make a pilgrimage with thousands of believers up to the Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda. At the shrine, there is a small stupa tower on top of a massive granite boulder known as the Golden Rock. Covered in golden leaves, it is precariously balanced on the edge of a cliff, and is reputedly “held in place by a single strand of Buddha’s hair”. On the return journey to Yangon, you will visit Bago, the capital city of the Mon Kingdom from the 14th to 16th century. Bago was also the capital city of the Second Burmese Empire, founded by King Bayinnaung.
