9 Days Ayeyarwady Delta & Ngwe Saung Beach
Drive to Bogale Bogale, the heart of the delta and once a Mon capital and trading port connected to international trading routes between the 15th and 18th centuries. Take a private boat to Meinmahla Kyun Wildlife Sanctuary, deep in the delta to experience traditional life in the Ayeyarwady region. Explore the numerous canals and mangrove forests and look out for the endangered saltwater crocodile and the Irrawaddy dolphins. Visit the fishing village of Kadonkani and Kadonkale Kyun, a river island in the estuary area, where sea turtles lay their eggs on the beaches and sandbanks. Travel to Pathein, known for its lively, hand-painted umbrellas and spend relaxing days at Ngwe Saung Beach. This unspoilt beach stretches across 15 km of white sand and blue sea.
